Ratchet and Clank Blu-ray Review

Ratchet and Clank Blu-ray | Universal Pictures Home Entertainment

Ratchet & Clank is rolling out on Blu-ray and DVD today. The PG-rated film is based on a PlayStation video game. It’s about two unlikely heroes trying to save the universe. My kids liked the animated film and I thought the movie was OK. Keep in mind the kids and I have never played the Ratchet and Clank video game. We really have no idea how the movie relates to the game. But we still enjoyed watching the film. Ratchet & Clank (Universal Pictures Home Entertainment) is available now on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital HD.

The Angry Birds Movie Review

The Angry Birds Movie

The Angry Birds Movie is finally here. We actually saw the new film based on the Angry Birds video games last Saturday. The Angry Birds Movie is one of those films that is more entertaining for young kids than adults. I enjoyed the animated movie, but my youngest son (age seven) really loved the film. He’s a big Angry Birds nut and he’s been so excited about the new movie. It did not disappoint him. When he got home, he got right back into the Angry Birds universe with his Angry Birds toys. The Angry Birds Movie (Sony Pictures) will open in theaters tonight. BTW, the film is rated PG for rude humor and action.

Pairing Frito-Lay with Beach Activities

Going on a trip with Frito-Lay and Skylanders

A couple of weeks ago, the family and I went to the Oregon coast for the day. We packed our beach towels and sand toys, and then drove out to Cannon Beach early in the morning. It was perfect timing because we got there during low tide. We saw marine life that we don’t usually see when we’re at the beach (like a starfish, anemones, crabs, snails, and coral). We had a great time and it was really nice to take another relaxing trip before school starts again. It was also sunny at the beach. My wife thought it was a little windy, but that was great for our kite. Dinner was a bit spendy because Cannon Beach is one of those tourist towns that make most of their money on tourists in the summer. Fortunately, we packed a lunch (sandwiches, snacks from the Frito-Lay variety packs and Pepsi products) to save some money.

Review and Giveaway: Foster Farms Corn Dogs

Foster Farms Mini Honey Crunchy Corn Dogs

Hello parents. I have a quick giveaway on my dad blog today (contest ends this Friday). I’m giving away four coupons for packages of Foster Farms Corn Dogs. We got a coupon too and purchased their Mini Honey Crunchy Corn Dogs with it. Three of my kids loved them. Unfortunately, our fourth child (the youngest) couldn’t eat them because of his food allergies. Poor guy. Anyway, I love the mini version because it’s the right size for children. Sometimes my kids can’t finish a whole corn dog. Actually, they can finish a whole one, but they can’t alway finish a second whole corn dog.

Movie Review: Wreck-It Ralph – it's a blast from the past

Wreck-It Ralph Movie ~ Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

Two of my children (ages seven and nine) and I saw an early screening of Wreck-It Ralph (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures) last week. The wreck-tacular 3D film is about a video game character that doesn’t want to be the bad guy anymore. We loved the animated movie and thought it was funny. Wreck-It Ralph opens in theaters today.
