Shout! Factory sent me volume 2 of Power Rangers Turbo for review on my dad blog. The second volume continues where volume one left off. It’s pretty much more of the same — stories about a group of kids with the ability to morph into Rangers so they can fight bad guys. As I mention in my review of volume one, you don’t really need to see the other Power Ranger shows in order to understand what’s going on in the Turbo series. It might be a little confusing at first, but you’ll catch on. Power Rangers Turbo: Volume 2 will be available on DVD on June 3rd. It has a list price of $19.93, but you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $17.98.
Shout! Factory sent me the new Power Rangers Turbo: Volume 1 DVD for review on my dad blog. I watched a few episodes with the kids over the weekend. I’ve never seen the Power Rangers before, but it’s pretty much what I expected — a group of kids with the ability to morph into Rangers so they can fight bad guys. According to the press material, the episodes on the disc are a continuation from the Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. The kids and I have not seen the movie, but we were still able to follow along. Power Rangers: Turbo, Vol. 1 is available now on DVD. It has a list price of $19.93, but you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $17.94.

Good morning, dads and moms. I’m moving my sites to a different server this Wednesday night (November 27). It will probably be after 6pm Pacific time. My sites might be down during the move. You’ll know when it’s done when you see a different design (the generic WordPress template). For the record, my sites went down earlier in the week because of a problem with the data center. The problem had nothing to do with the upcoming move. Now on to the two winner announcements. BTW, here are the giveaways still running on my blog.
I watched the Turbo Blu-ray with my kids over the weekend. We actually saw this film at the theater last summer (theatrical review). It’s also the same title I’m giving away on my dad blog. The animated film is about a snail who dreams about winning the Indy 500. The movie is predictable, but it’s also very entertaining and would make an excellent holiday gift for kids. Turbo (DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment) is available now on Blu-ray and DVD. Continue reading to learn seven things about the Turbo Blu-ray Combo Pack.
Turbo is out on Blu-ray and DVD today. We saw the animated film at the theater last summer and really enjoyed it (read my theatrical review). The movie is about a snail who dreams about racing in the Indy 500. Yeah, I know, the idea of a snail racing is silly. But this is an animated movie that will entertain kids and parents. We can’t wait to see it again. Thanks to DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, a lucky reader of my dad blog will the Turbo Blu-ray.
New Blu-ray and DVD movies this week include Man of Steel (review), Turbo (review | giveaway coming soon), Angelina Ballerina: Twirling Tales (review and giveaway), and Barney: Perfectly Purple (review and giveaway coming soon). I saw the new Superman movie at the theater and can’t wait to see it again at home. It’s super good. Read on for a summary of the new DVD releases.
New movies this week include Turbo (animated), The Conjuring, RED 2 (Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones), R.I.P.D. (Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds), Blackfish, Girl Most Likely, Grabbers, Only God Forgives (Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas), and Ways to Live Forever. I saw Turbo with the kids, and we enjoyed it. I have not seen R.I.P.D. yet, but it looks interesting and might be worth checking out. It’s a supernatural action-adventure film starring Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. Read on for a summary of the new movie releases for this week.
My kids and I saw an early movie screening of Turbo. The animated film is about a snail that wants to enter the Indy 500. The story is predictable, but I think most kids and parents will still enjoy it. Turbo (DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox) opens in theaters today (July 17th).
