Regal Summer Movie Express Starts This Week – movies for only $1

School is over for my kids. It’s time for their summer break. They have 11 weeks of summer vacation. Can you believe that? I only get two weeks off at work every year. Not fair. Not fair at all. Anyway, if you’re looking for an inexpensive activity this summer, Regal’s Summer Movie Express starts this week. Admission to their Summer Movie Express movies is only a dollar. The films are not first-fun movies, but they are aimed at kids and a dollar per movie is a great deal. In addition, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.

Free movie ticket to see Chuggington at the theater

I have a quick announcement this morning. I’m posting a free BOGO movie ticket to see episodes of Chuggington on the big screen. If your children have not been to the theater yet, this is a great opportunity to do so. First, the screening is free. And second, kids love the Chuggington trains. Six Safety Tips for Watching Movies at the Theaters

First of all, condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the Batman cinema shooting in Aurora, Colorado. The shooting is a terrible tragedy, and I can’t even begin to imagine the terror those people had to go through. After I heard about the shooting, I thought about canceling my plans to take my son to see Batman last Saturday. But then I concluded the Aurora cinema shooting is an isolated incident and that it is still fairly safe to go the movies — especially if I follow some basis theater safety rules (see my safety tips list below).
