I recently watch the third season of The Americans on DVD. The series is as good as ever. I love the series about two Russian spies posing as an American couple in the Washington D.C. area. The acting and story are both excellent. But what I love best about the show is that it’s so realistic and fits in with the Cold War era of the Reagan administration. In addition, I care about the main characters. They are Russian spies and are essentially the bad guys. But I can’t help but root for them. They are very likable and they have to deal with the same issues as most American parents of teenagers. The Americans Season 3 (Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment) is available now on DVD and digital HD. The 450-minute DVD set includes all 13 episodes of season three on four discs. BTW, I received the DVD set for review on my blog.
