Sing isn’t in stores yet, but we’re already seen the Blu-ray twice. We love the animated musical comedy. The film kinda of reminds me of American Idol, but better. The story is interesting and the singing is outstanding (you’ll want to sing along!). In my opinion, Sing is fun for the entire family. As an added bonus, the Special Edition Blu-ray and DVD include three mini-movies (my favorite is Gunter Babysits). And thanks to Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment, a reader of my dad blog will win a Sing Blu-ray. Sing-tastic! Sing will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on March 21st.
Sing is coming out on Blu-ray and DVD next week. I have not seen the animated film yet, but my kids can’t wait to see the movie. To help celebrate the new release, five readers of my blog will each win a prize pack consisting of a Sing DVD/Blu-ray and promotional swag. Awesome, right! Sing (Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios Home Entertainment) will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on March 21st. Note: the giveaway is limited to readers in Oregon and Washington. I have another Sing giveaway for the rest of you in a few days.

There are a bunch of new movies opening Christmas weekend. New films include Passengers (Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt), Why Him? (James Franco, Bryan Cranston), Assassin’s Creed (Michael Fassbender), Patriots Day (Mark Wahlberg), Sing (animated), A Monster Calls (Felicity Jones), Silence (Andrew Garfield), The Wasted Times (Ziyi Zhang), and Julieta (Emma Suarez). Why Him? and Passengers are the top of my list. Why Him? looks really funny and Passengers might be a good sci-fi story. Continue reading for summaries and trailers of the new films for this weekend.
