The past week was spring break and it wasn’t easy keeping the kids entertained — especially the youngest one, who likes to tell me constantly that he’s bored. If it was up to the kids, they would play video games all day long. But that’s not good. Fortunately for everyone, they didn’t play video games all week. In addition to video games, the kids also did things like swimming, volleyball, making clay figures, going to the mall, and playing with toys like Hasbro’s My Little Pony Equestria Girls and Mr. Potato Head Transformer. This is actually what this blog post is about — a review of the Hasbro toys.
Recently, the kids and I played with a couple of Bloco toy sets. The playsets are a bit like Lego sets. But instead of plastic bricks, you build things with foam pieces and plastic connectors. The kits include instructions in the form of pictures. Bloco (Facebook), which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, offers a variety of kits for robots, dragons, dinosaurs, and other animals. And thanks to Bloco, I’m giving away a toy set of the winner’s choice on my dad blog.
Are you looking for a holiday gift idea for the little conductor in your family? If you are, I have a couple of ideas for you. The first suggestion is a Chuggington playset. My youngest son loves trains and he would love to get another Chuggington train set for Christmas. My second gift idea is the Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue app (by StoryToys). According to the press material, this is the first-ever Chuggington interactive storybook app that looks and feels just like a real book. And thanks to Chuggington, I have a traintastic giveaway on my dad blog. I’m giving five Chug Patrol apps and one TOMY’s Chuggington StackTrack Ready to Race Deluxe Action Playset. BTW, Chuggington recently started its fourth season on Disney Junior.
Good morning, dads and moms. Our heatwave is melting my brian. I think I’m going to move the family to the North Pole. Before I go, I have two winner announcements this Saturday morning. But first, here are the current open giveaways on my dad blog:
Chuggington sent me their new Wilson’s Wild Ride Deluxe Action Playset for review and giveaway on my dad blog. I think Christmas has arrived early for my toddler because he loves trains and he really loves this train set. I love this set too because it’s sturdy, and easy to assemble and reassemble. This is important if you have a toddler like mine. My son has a habit of taking track sets apart. Then I have to put it back together again because most kits are too hard for him to reassemble by himself. That’s not the case with the new Tomy die-cast train set. My son doesn’t have any problem putting the tracks back together by himself after he does his Godzilla impersonation.
The outlaws gave my kids some goodluck money (red envelopes) for Chinese New Year. Take a look at the dollhouse my daughter bought with her money.
It’s a Fisher-Price Super Friends Batcave. And no, this dad wasn’t there to help her pick out the Batman playset. My wife tried to encourage the Little Monkey to pick a less expensive Kai-lan or Dora girly toy, but my little girl refused.
