I recently watched The Choice on DVD. The Choice is about two young people falling in love. But then tragedy strikes, and one of them is forced to make a very difficult choice. The film is actually another love story by Nicholas Sparks. In my opinion, it’s a good one. So if you’re in the mood for a love story, then this is the movie for you. The Choice (Lionsgate) is available now on digital HD, and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on May 3rd. Note: The Choice is rated PG-13. There’s a couple of implied sex scenes in the film. Otherwise the movie should be fine for most kids.
I have an awesome giveaway Nicholas Sparks fans will love. Thanks to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, I’m giving The Longest Ride Blu-ray on my dad blog. I have not seen the movie yet, but based on other movies adapted from Nicholas Sparks novels, I’m sure I will love it. I can’t wait to see it with my wife. Sounds like a great film for our next date night. The Longest Ride will be available on Digital HD June 26th, and on Blu-ray and DVD on July 14th. The Best of Me will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 3rd. I have not seen the movie yet, but I do know it’s based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. If this story is like his other books, the film will be perfect for Valentine’s Day. If you’ve seen movie, you should be happy to know the new release includes a “Tears of Joy” New Storyline and “Storybook” Alternate Ending. And thanks to Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, a reader of my dad blog can win The Best of Me Blu-ray. Continue reading to find out how to enter.
Safe Haven (Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough) comes out on Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD today. The movie is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. If you read his books or seen his other films, then you already know his stories are romantic and will make you cry. In my opinion, Safe Haven (review) would make an excellent Mother’s Day gift. To celebrate the release of the story on Blu-ray and DVD, I’m giving away a Safe Haven Blu-ray/book bundle on my movie blog. Thank you, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment!
Valentine’s Day is 12 days away. If you are still looking for gift ideas, check out my list below. All the gifts are under $35 and the list doesn’t include jewelry, flowers, or lingerie (is this a gift for a woman, man, or both?). BTW, the Amazon team is trying to convince me a Kindle Wireless Reading Device would make an excellent Valentine’s gift. To me, the Kindle seems more like a birthday, Mother’s/Father’s Day, or Christmas gift. On the other hand, if you bundle the Kindle with a bunch of love stories (like the ones written by Nicholas Sparks), then that would be a good Valentine’s gift for a book lover. On another note, if you are thinking about breakfast in bed with your loved one, then check out these handy items:
