I saw Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Lucasfilm) for the second time recently. The first time was at the theater and the second time was via Disney Movies Anywhere and Roku. I’m a big Star Wars fan and I really enjoyed the sci-fi film. Unlike the other Star Wars movies I’ve seen, Rogue One is a standalone story. Remember the very first Star Wars film (A New Hope)? In the story, Luke destroys the Death Star thanks to plans stolen by the rebels. Rogue One is about the rebels who stole the plans that revealed the weakness in the Death Star. Note: I received a movie kit for reviewing the film on my blog. As always, the opinions expressed are mine and I am not obligated to write a positive review.
Hey Star Wars fan! If the Force is strong in your family, come join the Rogue One Digital HD Twitter Party (I think there will be prizes). The social media party will take place Sunday (March 26) at 4 pm PST (7 pm EST). Follow the hashtag #RogueOneDigital. The co-hosts are @MagicalSiblings and @dawnchats. I’m on #TeamEmpire and will be battling the do-gooders rebels in an epic battle in a galaxy far, far away. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is available now on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere. Rogue One will out on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and On-Demand on April 4th. Note: I received a movie kit for taking part in the Twitter Party. As always, the opinions expressed are mine and I am not obligated to write a positive review.
There’s a new Lego Star Wars movie out on DVD. It’s called Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales. I received the DVD for review on my dad blog. We loved it. We’re big fans of Lego Star Wars and the new DVD did not disappoint. The stories take place after Return of the Jedi and before The Fore Awakens. As you can probably guess, the central characters are R2-D2 and C-3PO. They are two of our favorite Star Wars characters. The 110-minute DVD features the two droids in five 22-minute episodes. In addition to the fun episodes, the DVD also includes an exclusive trading card set. As I mentioned already, Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales is available now on DVD.
Look what Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment sent me for review on my dad blog (photo above). It’s the new Star Wars Lego: The Empire Strikes Out DVD. My kids and I are big Star Wars and Lego fans. So we think the new DVD from the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm is totally awesome. Even though the DVD is very short, we love the animated Star Wars Lego movie. BTW, the DVD also includes an exclusive Darth Vader LEGO mini-figure. The Star Wars Lego: The Empire Strikes Out DVD is available now. It has a list price of $14.98, but you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $9.99.

Any Willow fans out there? I saw this movie many moons ago, and enjoyed it a lot. Which is why I’m happy to announce I’m giving a Willow Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack on my dad blog. [Hopefully, Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will also send me a review copy.] Willow features a young Val Kilmer (whatever happened to that guy?) and was directed by Ron Howard. Willow Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack will be available tomorrow (March 12th). It’s the first time the movie is available in stunning Blu-ray.
