Father’s Day is just around the corner. I’m hoping to chill out with the kids and grill a fresh pizza or two next Sunday. That’s right, you can grill a pizza instead of baking it in the oven. It’s a new grilling trick I learned recently. My co-workers have told me about cooking their pizza in a smoker before, but I have never tried it until this past weekend. I made it easy on myself by purchasing a couple of take and bake pizzas. BTW, I will be compensated for this post on my dad blog for writing about Papa Murphy’s and their Father’s Day giveaway. As always, the opinions expressed are mine and I am not obligated to write a positive review. #DadMoments #EGGhead4Life #sponsored
Looking for an inexpensive gift idea for Father’s Day? If you are, get dad a Chef Remi Grill Mat. I received a set for review on my dad blog and I love it. Normally when I grill, I have to super heat my grill first, then scrub the old gunk off the grill before I can cook my next masterpiece. But with the Chef Remi Grill Mats, I don’t have to clean first. I can actually start grilling right away. And when I’m done grilling, I can use a sponge and soapy water to quickly clean the mats. The Chef Remi Grill Mat is a big time saver. And thanks to Chef Remi, I’m giving away a set of two Chef Remi grill mats on my blog.
We’ve been enjoying the nice weather here in the Pacific Northwest. We’ve even fired up the grill for a little family BBQ. Thanks to Frito-Lay, we got to try out the new Pepsi Next, Doritos and Cheetos products at our BBQ. We loved the new products! They were sinfully delicious. This Friday (4-8 p.m), you can also try out the new products for free at the Pepsi, Frito-Lay and Kroger “Free For All” event taking place at participating Kroger stores. In addition, you can also win a Frito-Lay prize pack consisting of a $50 Visa gift card, Doritos Locos Tacos tortilla chips, Cheetos MIX-UPS snacks, and Pepsi Next. Just in time for your BBQ!

I’m excited about the college football season. My team, Oregon State, beat the Wisconsin Badgers a couple of weeks ago. This Saturday, the Beavers open the Pac-12 season with a road game at UCLA. LA is too far for me to drive for a tailgater. Fortunately, the game is on national TV so I’m going to fire up the grill in my backyard. Speaking of tailgaters, I have some tailgating tips (see video above) and a giveaway on my dad blog. I’m giving away a Frito-Lay prize pack worth $75-$100. Yummy!

I recently sent some questions to Chefs Stephen Kalil and Jody Denton over at the Frito Lay Flavor Kitchen. They sent me their response in the above YouTube video, which was totally unexpected. If you’re planning on entertaining on Memorial Day, then you’re going want to check out the YouTube video above. Their tips cover cooking, grilling, stress-free party preparation, and recipes. I think the tips are really helpful, and I plan on following their tips this Memorial weekend and also in the future for other get-togethers at our house. BTW, thanks to Frito Lay, I’m also giving away party packs to five readers of my dad blog.
Memorial Weekend is just around the corner. In Oregon, that means the start of the grilling season.
