Father’s Day is just around the corner. I’m hoping to chill out with the kids and grill a fresh pizza or two next Sunday. That’s right, you can grill a pizza instead of baking it in the oven. It’s a new grilling trick I learned recently. My co-workers have told me about cooking their pizza in a smoker before, but I have never tried it until this past weekend. I made it easy on myself by purchasing a couple of take and bake pizzas. BTW, I will be compensated for this post on my dad blog for writing about Papa Murphy’s and their Father’s Day giveaway. As always, the opinions expressed are mine and I am not obligated to write a positive review. #DadMoments #EGGhead4Life #sponsored

I’m excited about the college football season. My team, Oregon State, beat the Wisconsin Badgers a couple of weeks ago. This Saturday, the Beavers open the Pac-12 season with a road game at UCLA. LA is too far for me to drive for a tailgater. Fortunately, the game is on national TV so I’m going to fire up the grill in my backyard. Speaking of tailgaters, I have some tailgating tips (see video above) and a giveaway on my dad blog. I’m giving away a Frito-Lay prize pack worth $75-$100. Yummy!
Whenever I hear or see the “Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner.” slogan, I’m reminded of Wendy’s old campaign, “Where’s the beef?” Those commercials were really funny (anyone remembers those commercials?). Anyway, I hosted a small party recently. We were actually planning to go out for our daughter’s seventh birthday, but then the inlaws showed up unexpectedly and they didn’t want to go out. So I quickly found a pineapple burger recipe on BeefItsWhatsForDinner.com (recipes, tips and information about beef) and fired up the grill. Even though everything was last minute, we all had a good time.
