Kids Bowl Free – 2 games a day!

Kids Bowl Free

Looking for something to do with the kids this summer? Here’s an idea: bowling. Thanks to the Kids Bowl Free program, your children can almost bowl for free. By almost, I mean they can bowl two games for free each day. However, shoe rental is not included. Most bowling centers will charge their standard rate for shoes. But if you’re lucky, your bowling center will have unlimited shoe rental summer passes for sale.

Regal Summer Movie Express Starts This Week – movies for only $1

Regal Summer Movie Express

School is over for my kids. It’s time for their summer break. They have 11 weeks of summer vacation. Can you believe that? I only get two weeks off at work every year. Not fair. Not fair at all. Anyway, if you’re looking for an inexpensive activity this summer, Regal’s Summer Movie Express starts this week. Admission to their Summer Movie Express movies is only a dollar. The films are not first-fun movies, but they are aimed at kids and a dollar per movie is a great deal. In addition, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.

Eight Things About Zact Mobile #MC

Zact Mobile - Pixar Toy Story: Smash It! and Disney Infinity: Action!

Did you know Zact Mobile is the first wireless service provider to let parents remotely manage their child’s phone from their own handset? As a parent, I love this feature because I’m concerned about my kids’ mobile usage and what they do with their smartphones. With Zact’s no contract phones, I can set limits on the amount of talk, text and data time. In addition, I can block contacts and control which apps my children has access to.

Castle Farm Volume 1 and Happy Valley Volume 1 DVDs Review

Organa Kids sent me their two new animated DVDs for children: Castle Farm Volume 1 and Happy Valley Volume 1. Castle Farm is an animated series from England. The drawings in the DVD look like they were made by children and took a little getting use to. Characters include Farm Girl, Piggy, Leonard, Farmer and various barnyard animals. Happy Valley is another animated series from England. Each of the episodes is about the children who live in Happy Valley as they learn about the world around them. There are nine episodes on each DVD. They are short (about five minutes each). Both Organa Kids DVDs will appeal to younger children (ages two to five). My two youngest kids (ages two and five) love the DVDs, while my two oldest children (ages eleven and eight) didn’t really like the DVDs. Castle Farm Volume 1 and Happy Valley Volume 1 will both be released tomorrow (August 30th). Both Castle Farm and Happy Valley retail for $14.95 each.
