I test drove a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ for five days. After driving the compact SUV for almost a week, I can honestly say I love it. I will definately keep this SUV in mind when I’m ready to buy another vehicle. To be honest, I wasn’t even thinking about purchasing an American car in the future. My last American car was a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. It had too many problems. The final straw was when three of the four engine bolts broke off while I was driving. It’s a good thing I wasn’t speeding along on the freeway when that happened. That would have been really bad. I only drove the Chevrolet Equinox for five days, but the car changed my perception of American-made vehicles. The Equinox seems to be really well made. I was very impressed with the quality of the car, the way it drove, and its features. BTW, the Equinox was a loaner as part of the Chevy Shop Social: Portland fundraiser for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
Guess what I will be doing in the next five days? If you guessed trying out for the Portland Trail Blazers then you would be wrong. I’m too short and not particularly athletic. At least not anymore. But I am taking part in a special fund-raiser event for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation. For five days, I will be driving around in a new Chevy Equinox (this is a fabulous SUV) while shopping around the city for awesome items to be raffled off in the Chevy Shop Social: Portland. The special event will take place in Pioneer Square on May 21st (6pm to 8:30 pm).
