I received a bag of Twix Bites for review on my dad blog. I loved them! I only got to try a few Twix Bites because I shared the treat with my wife and three of my kids. They ate them all. I guess that’s what I get for sharing. The Twix Bites are a little different compared to the bars we usually buy at stores. They still taste the same (super yummy). But as the name implies, Twix Bites are bite size. They are also unwrapped in the bag, which saves me the trouble of having to unwrap each bar and then having to throw away the wrapper. You can try Twix Bites too by either buying them at a store near you or by entering my giveaway for a movie prize pack, which consists of a $15 Fandango gift card and 2 sharable bags and a larger resealable bag of TWIX Bites. Sweet contest, right?
Good morning, everyone. I only have one winner announcement this morning, but I have several more giveaways going live next week. First, here are the current open giveaways on my dad blog:
- Earth Day Giveaway (ends 4/30)
- Railway Mischief DVD Giveaway (ends 5/2)
- Xbox LIVE Gold Giveaway (ends 5/3)
Easter is just around the corner (March 31, 2013). That’s why I was happy when the Hershey Company sent me a basket of goodies. This Easter, you can easily create a personalized basket for your children too. The basket I created for my kids included Hershey Kisses, Twizzlers, York Peppermint Pattie Eggs, Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans, and Jolly Rancher Sours Bunnies. My kids loved it! Big surprise.
The Hershey Company sent me their new Hershey’s Pieces Milk Chocolate with Almonds for review and giveaway on my dad blog. Do you want to know what I think? They taste great! I wish they would’ve sent me a whole case. I could eat those little pieces all day. The new Hershey’s Milk Chocolate with Almonds Pieces feature Hershey’s milk chocolate with a whole almond in each piece, covered in a crunchy hard shell. I also like the re-sealable bag because even though I could eat them all day long (the candy, not the bag), I can’t eat them all in one sitting without getting a tummy ache and getting in trouble with my wife.
I’m doing a review of Goody Good Stuff All-Natural Gummies. I don’t usually do candy reviews, but I agreed to review Goody Good Stuff because their product is designed for people with food allergies. Our toddler has all sorts of allergies — including dairy, eggs, nuts, and beef. Thankfully, Goody Good Stuff Gummies are gluten free, fat free, nut free, soy free, dairy free, egg free, meat free, gelatine free, lactose free, wheat free, and cassein free. Goody Good Stuff Gummies are also vegetarian (some varieties are vegan) and do not contain artificial flavors or colors. They come in eight flavors. My kids tried three of the flavors (Cheery Cherries, Cola Breeze, and Sour Fruit). They said they tasted a little different compared to regular gummies, but they still love them. My wife said she likes it too. I can’t believe they didn’t save any for me — especially since I’m the one writing the review.
The fine folks over at Tom’s of Maine contacted me about a toothpaste giveaway last month. It would have been a great Halloween giveaway (sorry for the delay, most of you know why). Like many dads and moms, I like Halloween (in my case, a lot), but I think all those Halloween treats are a bit scary. In my mind, there’s a cavity inside each trick or treat candy just waiting to be hatched.
