My family and I went to Marvel Universe LIVE! in Portland yesterday. The event features superheroes and villains in an action-pack setting. It was awesome. We loved it. Their stop in Portland is over. The tour’s next stop is Milwaukee and Green Bay, Wisconsin. For a city near you, check out the Marvel Universe LIVE! tour on their website. If you have not seen the superhero event, you should. It’s a lot of fun and will keep you engaged through out the show.
As I mentioned previously, Marvel Universe LIVE! is coming to Portland, Oregon. The kids and I can’t wait to see the the spectacular event. According to what I’ve read, Marvel Universe LIVE! is the largest assembly of Marvel super heroes and villains. There are over 25 superpeople (is that a word?) — including Spider-Man, the Avengers, X-men, Loki, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, and Aldrich Killian. Marvel Universe LIVE! will be at the Moda Center March 3-6.
The kids and I are really excited about the Marvel Universe LIVE! show coming to Portland. The action-packed event features over 25 Marvel characters — like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk, X-men, Loki, and the Green Goblin. The show is filled with award-winning special effects, cutting edge pyrotechnics and amazing aerial stunts. Marvel Universe LIVE! will take place at the Moda Center March 3-6, 2016.

Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is coming up, and Christmas is just around the corner. If you’re already thinking about what to get your kids for Christ
mas, then I have some ideas for you. It’s not easy finding the right toy for kids, right? It’s not easy for me either, but I do have a method that I like to use. Basically, I try to visualize in my mind if my children will like a particular toy. I factor in their personalities and things I know they like. For instance, I can visualize my two youngest kids role playing with FurReal Friends StarLily and Play All Day Elmo. My older boy (superhero fanboy) would probably like the Marvel’s Avengers Starter Pack, and my oldest girl (brainy child) would probably like Scrabble Twist. I don’t know for certain if my kids will like the toys I get them, but I think visualizing helps with the process.
Good morning, dads and moms! Tomorrow is Mother’s Day! I think we’re going to a pancake house. We go there every year. Anyways, I have two winner announcements this morning. But first, below is the current giveaway on my dad blog.

Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron opens this Friday. My son and I can’t wait to see the new Marvel movie. We’re big fanboys of the superhero genre. In fact, we’re going to an early screening tonight. We’re so excited. Speaking of Avengers, check out the tumblers and water bottle I received for review on my dad blog. The samples are part of Tervis’ line of new and officially licensed Avengers: Age of Ultron mugs and tumblers to keep super fans hydrated. They are marv-tastic. My son already stole one of the cups and is showing it off at school. And thanks to Tervis, three readers of my dad blog can each win a tumbler and coffee mug. Awesome, right?
My son and I saw an early screening of Marvel’s The Avengers last Monday. The film is about a band of superheroes, The Avengers, and their mission to stop Loki from conquering Earth. My son and I loved it, and think the movie is awesome. Joss Whedon, the director, does an expert job combing action, drama, and comedy into the Marvel world of superheroes, villains, S.H.I.E.L.D., Helicarrier, and cosmic cube. Marvel’s The Avengers [Facebook | Twitter] opens in theaters today. Below is a quick summary of the film. Continue reading for the full movie review of The Avengers.
