The Boss Baby Family Movie Night

The Boss Baby | DreamWorks Animation

I’ll admit it. When I took my two youngest kids to see DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby at the theater earlier this year, I was expecting a kiddie movie. But I was wrong. The animated movie actually appeals to both kids and parents. It’s a cute story and we still loved the film when we saw it again during our family movie night. Naturally, one of our treats was a cookie because of the funny line in the 97-minute film, “cookies are for closers!” The Boss Baby, which is rated PG, is available now in digital HD, and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday (July 25th).

Kuu Kuu Harajuku is an animated series that follows the fun-filled adventures of band HJ5, through their world of music, fashion and style. She wanted to create an animated series for girls that encourages and celebrates creative self-expression, imagination and individuality. Thanks to Shout! Sing Blu-ray Review and Giveaway

Sing | Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios Home Entertainment

Sing isn’t in stores yet, but we’re already seen the Blu-ray twice. We love the animated musical comedy. The film kinda of reminds me of American Idol, but better. The story is interesting and the singing is outstanding (you’ll want to sing along!). In my opinion, Sing is fun for the entire family. As an added bonus, the Special Edition Blu-ray and DVD include three mini-movies (my favorite is Gunter Babysits). And thanks to Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Illumination Entertainment, a reader of my dad blog will win a Sing Blu-ray. Sing-tastic! Sing will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on March 21st.

Cut the Strings to Pinocchio with Digital HD

Pinocchio Blu-ray

Disney is releasing Pinocchio this week. You know how Disney works. They like to pull many of their movies from retailers and store them in their magical vault. Then they release the titles again many years later. This time around, Disney is releasing Pinocchio in stores. And for the first time ever, Pinocchio is available in Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere. That means you can cut the cord and watch the film anywhere without strings. Cool, right? I also like the digital HD option because I don’t have to find a place to store the film. After a couple of decades of collecting DVDs and Blu-rays, I have run out of space on my bookcase. BTW, I received a movie kit for writing this review. As always, the opinions expressed are mine and I am not obligated to write a positive review.
