Did you know that this July is the 70th anniversary of the famed Roswell UFO crash? It’s true. IFC Films is offering a free screening of their new movie, Band Aid. The film is a funny indie comedy about a couple that decides to start a band and turn all their fights into song. The screening for Band Aid in the Portland area is on Tuesday, June 20 at Regal Lloyd Center at 7 pm. Thanks to IFC Films, I’m giving away 10 VIP passes for the screening. Each pass is good for two people.
Kuu Kuu Harajuku is an animated series that follows the fun-filled adventures of band HJ5, through their world of music, fashion and style. The inspiration for this popular animated series came from Grammy Award-winning musician Gwen Stefani. She wanted to create an animated series for girls that encourages and celebrates creative self-expression, imagination and individuality. Thanks to Shout! Did you know June is Garage Door Safety month? Well, it is. In honor of Garage Door Safety month, the International Door Association (IDA) has a new video offering homeowners a quick primer about their garage door and tips to keep the door operating safely and efficiently. I just watched the video (see below) and I plan on doing my semi-annual lubrications of hinges, rollers and springs this weekend. That’s something any homeowner can do. But for major repairs, I’m leaving that to the professionals as the IDA video suggested. And thanks to the International Door Association, I’m giving away a $25 Visa gift card on my dad blog.

Max is back in a new movie. In the new film (Max 2 White House Hero) Max has a new assignment that brings him to Washington D.C. where he’s on a highly-sensitive mission that will push Max’s specialized skills, intelligence and loyalty to the test. My little guy is super excited about Rock Dog. We missed it at the theaters and can’t wait to see it on DVD. The animated film is about a dog’s quest to fulfill his dream of becoming a musician.
