I’ll admit it. When I took my two youngest kids to see DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby at the theater earlier this year, I was expecting a kiddie movie. But I was wrong. The animated movie actually appeals to both kids and parents. It’s a cute story and we still loved the film when we saw it again during our family movie night. Naturally, one of our treats was a cookie because of the funny line in the 97-minute film, “cookies are for closers!” The Boss Baby, which is rated PG, is available now in digital HD, and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday (July 25th).
We’ve all heard of Groupon, right? I know I have. I’m frugal. That’s why I’m on their email list so I can see the latest deals daily. But until today, I didn’t even know Groupon offers coupons for retailers like Amazon, Target, eBay, and Lego Store. And unlike Groupon’s regular deals, the coupons don’t require you to pay for the coupon. They are free!

Are you still looking for a Father’s Day gift idea for dad? If you are, then you should consider the Google Home personal assistant device or the Google Pixel smartphone. I’ve been demoing the two devices for the last few days. I think they are both awesome and I would love to receive either one (or both) for Father’s Day. BTW, Verizon sent me loaners for review on my dad blog. As some of you know, Verizon’s network gives customers the broadest coverage, best speeds, and unsurpassed reliability.
Kuu Kuu Harajuku is an animated series that follows the fun-filled adventures of band HJ5, through their world of music, fashion and style. The inspiration for this popular animated series came from Grammy Award-winning musician Gwen Stefani. She wanted to create an animated series for girls that encourages and celebrates creative self-expression, imagination and individuality. Thanks to Shout! Factory and DHX Media, I’m giving two copies of the new Kuu Kuu Harajuku: Music, Baby! DVD on my dad blog. The new release is available now on DVD and airs on Nickelodeon.
If you’re looking for a Father’s Day gift idea, you should definitely consider giving dad an indoor skydiving package with iFly. I went to iFly with some co-works earlier in the year and we loved it. The experience is fun and totally cool. I think iFly would be something most dads would love to try. And until June 18th (Father’s Day), you can even save up to $50 on a package or voucher.
Check out the cute photo of my youngest daughter in a Belle costume. Disney gave me the gown and accessories to celebrate the release of Beauty and the Beast. My oldest daughter has seen the movie three times already. She really loves it. I really like the film too. It’s a love story and a musical with wonderful songs. I also like the messages in the movie: inner beauty is more important than how you look on the outside, the right person can bring out the best in you, and a woman doesn’t have to settle for just any man to be happy. The film is excellent and I think everyone will enjoy it. Beauty and the Beast is available now on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital HD. Note: Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (WDSMP) sent me a Blu-ray to review on my dad blog. As always, the opinions expressed are mine and I am not obligated to write a positive review.
