Sing | Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios Home Entertainment

Sing is coming out on Blu-ray and DVD next week. I have not seen the animated film yet, but my kids can’t wait to see the movie. To help celebrate the new release, five readers of my blog will each win a prize pack consisting of a Sing DVD/Blu-ray and promotional swag. Awesome, right! Sing (Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios Home Entertainment) will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on March 21st. Note: the giveaway is limited to readers in Oregon and Washington. I have another Sing giveaway for the rest of you in a few days.

Sing Synopsis

Set in a world like ours but entirely inhabited by animals, Sing stars Buster Moon (Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey), a dapper koala who presides over a once-grand theater that has fallen on hard times. Buster is an eternal — some might even say delusional-optimist who loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Now faced with the crumbling of his life’s ambition, he has one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition. For the funny, charming, uplifting — and most of all, deeply human — film that features more than 65 songs, McConaughey is joined by fellow Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon, as well as Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Tori Kelly.

  1. Far and away, my favorite singer of all time is Freddie Mercury. Queen is an amazing band, and Freddie’s voice is one of a kind!

  2. Hard to pick a favorite singer. But, as of right now, I have been recently introduced to this artist named Jane Zhang. She has a amazing voice.

  3. I don’t really have a favorite singer, with 4 kids I pretty much listen to a little bit of everything. In my house, I could be listening to country music one minute, Christian music the next or pop.

  4. My all time favorite singer is Bruce Springsteen. I have loved that man since I was 10 years old, and am now 50. I know every word to every song by heart. His songs have helped me through so much! I would have loved to have met him in Portland while he was promoting his book, but my fear of driving to Portland by myself won out instead.

  5. Very hard to choose, there’s so many but I’ll have to choose Prince and George Michael, I absolutely love them both and they helped me get through a lot in my teen years.

  6. My favorite singer is Reba! She’s been my favorite for years. I like what she stands for, and her music is awesome. If I had to pick a second, it would be Carrie Underwood, for the same reasons!

  7. Depends on the mood. I like a variety. Anything from big band to a few current of today and all points in between. Thank you for opportunity to win.

  8. I can’t think of one. Prince and Herbie Hancock were creative geniuses. Steve Perry and Lou Gramm are the background of all my high-school memories.

  9. I love so many singers and songs, it all depends on mood on any given day. Soul/blues singers always get to me in the best way. (:

  10. My favorite singer for the past 40 years has been Greg Brown. He has so many wonderful songs, but one of my favorites is Lately.

  11. I love Carrie Underwood and Maroon 5. Not sure about my favorite song. That kind of swings with the mood of the day.
