Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season

Season six of Game of Thrones will be out on Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD this week. I love this show. The characters are interesting, the story is fantastic, and the plot is very unpredictable. And if you’ve seen the HBO series, then you know the writers are not afraid of killing off main characters — including popular characters I like. In fact, season five ended with the apparent death of Jon Snow. Anyways, I love season six of Game of Thrones. It’s just as good as the previous seasons. I can’t wait to see season seven. BTW, Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season will make an excellent gift for a fan of the series.

A Lot of People Die

I don’t want to spoil anything for those of you who have not seen season six yet. So I’m just going to say there’s more killings and more surprises (including a good one). In season six, you’ll see the usual main characters — like Cersei (I hate her), Tyrion, Jaime, Sansa, Arya (my favorite character), and Daenerys (I like the Mother of Dragons). Bran Stark also returns to the series. He was the Stark boy that was missing in action last season.

The Bad

I love Game of Thrones, but there are few things I don’t like about it. First, there are only ten episodes per season and then you have to wait another year for the next season. Second, there are way too many characters to keep track of — especially when you have to wait a year between seasons (that’s why you have to own all the seasons so you can refresh your memory). Third, as I mentioned previously, the writers are not afraid of killing off main characters. That takes guts, but it’s also sad when they kill off characters you like.

Game of Thrones: Season Six Synopsis

The most-watched series in HBO history and a worldwide TV phenomenon, Game of Thrones returns with another power season. This year, after the shocking developments at the end of Season 5 — including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing — survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.

  1. One thing I will say about Season 6 is it features some of the show’s very best and weakest moments. But still the best show to watch.
