Don’t you just hate nicks and scratches on your new car? I know I do. As some of you know, my car was totaled last year. After taking our time, my wife and I eventually bought a new car. And then a few months later, my wife parked the car too close to the garage door and she ended up scratching the car when the garage door closed. Fortunately, a product like the Chipex Touch Up Kit can take care of the scratches. BTW, thanks to Chipex, I’m giving away a prize pack consisting of a touch kit and screenwash (see review below).
Chipex Touch Up Kit
The Chipex paint touch-up kit includes paint, blending solution, scratch removal polish, micro brushes, cleaning cloth, polishing cloth, protective gloves and instructions. When you order a kit, Chipex will match the paint to your car’s color. Note: you can select a color from their website’s menu, but the color of my car wasn’t listed. So I tracked down the color code for my car (thank you Google) to ensure I got the right color for my car. BTW, the kit will cost from $49.99 to $59.99 depending on size.
I’ll admit it. The first time I tried to touch-up some nicks on my car, I was nervous. I was afraid I would make it worst. But the process is actually fairly easy (see video above). Just clean the area, apply some paint, blend the paint with the blending solution, and then apply the polish at the end. The whole process only took a couple of minutes. When I was done, the nicks were gone. If you look very closely in the photo below, you’ll see the area touched up is a little different. But that’s only if you look for it. If you didn’t look for it, you won’t even notice the car has been touched up.

Hydrophobic Aquaphobic Rain-Repelling Screenwash
This product is a windshield screenwash that helps repel rain. The aquaphobic screenwash helps improve visibility in the rain by beading water droplets together instead of letting the rain smear and drip down the windshield. The screenwash also reduces glare, stops your wipers from squeaking and acts as an anti-freeze (up to -5° C). The product is easy to use. Just add the recommended amount to your car’s windshield washer fluid. Based on my experience, rain drops does bead up like the product literature claims, but you’ll still need to use your wipers when it rains. See the video below to see for yourself. BTW, a one liter bottle sells for $19.99.
Hydrophobic Aquaphobic Screenwash Highlights
- Actively repels rain from the screen
- Delivers clear vision in any weather, day or night
- Anti-freeze to -5°C
- Removes smears and other markings
