Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Dreamworks sent us some goodies for a Kung Fu Panda movie night. One of the goodies in a bamboo basket was a dim sum cookbook. For those of you who don’t know, dim sum is essentially a bunch of Chinese appetizers. You eat enough of them and you got yourself a meal. I love dim sum. And if you’ve seen Kung Fu Panda 3, then you know Po and the other pandas love dim sum too. BTW, Kung Fu Panda 3 is available now on Blu-ray, DVD and digital HD.
When I was a kid, I actually helped my mom make dim sum dishes. This was back in the dark ages when dim sum wasn’t available in the Portland area. Back then, if you wanted to eat dim sum, you either have to make it yourself or go to Seattle or San Francisco. But not anymore. Dim sum is now available in many places in Portland. In fact, we had dim sum recently and brought some home to eat while we watched Kung Fu Panda 3 for the second time. We loved both the movie and the dim sum!
