Looks like a light week for new DVDs and Blu-rays. New releases this week include Ride Along 2 (Kevin Hart, Ice Cube), Krampus (Emjay Anthony), and Jane Got A Gun (Natalie Portman, Joel Edgerton). I saw Ride Along (review | giveaway) and loved it. Krampus and Jane Got A Gun also look interesting. Continue reading for a summary of the new Blu-rays and DVDs for this week.

Blu-rays and DVDs coming out the week of April 26, 2016

  • Ride Along 2 (review | giveaway)
The brothers-in-law are back! Ben (Kevin Hart; Get Hard, The Wedding Ringer), a recently graduated police rookie, now aspires to be a detective like his soon-to-be brother-in-law, but James (Ice Cube; 22 Jump Street, Barbershop) still doesn’t think that he has what it takes for the job. He reluctantly takes Ben with him to follow up on a lead in Miami. Plans for a quick trip go awry when their unorthodox policing gets them into a compromising situation that threatens to derail a major case… and Ben’s upcoming wedding day. Also starring Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn and Sherri Shepherd. The dynamic duo of Cube and Hart renew their comedic connection in this bigger, better, and funnier sequel!

  • Krampus
Legendary Pictures’ Krampus, a darkly festive tale of a yuletide ghoul, reveals an irreverently twisted side to the holiday. When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.

  • Jane Got A Gun
Jane Hammond (Natalie Portman) has built a life on the rugged western plains with her husband Bill Hammond (Noah Emmerich) and young daughter. When Hammond stumbles home riddled with bullets after a run-in with the relentless John Bishop (Ewan McGregor) and his gang, she knows they will not stop until her family is dead. In desperation, Jane turns to Dan Frost (Joel Edgerton), a man from her past, for help. Haunted by old memories, Jane s past meets the present in a heart-stopping battle for survival.
