The past week was spring break and it wasn’t easy keeping the kids entertained — especially the youngest one, who likes to tell me constantly that he’s bored. If it was up to the kids, they would play video games all day long. But that’s not good. Fortunately for everyone, they didn’t play video games all week. In addition to video games, the kids also did things like swimming, volleyball, making clay figures, going to the mall, and playing with toys like Hasbro’s My Little Pony Equestria Girls and Mr. Potato Head Transformer. This is actually what this blog post is about — a review of the Hasbro toys.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls Minis Rarity Slumber Party Beauty Set
This playset includes a posable Rarity mini-doll, cat, vanity, shelf stand, and makeup and hairstyling accessories. My youngest daughter loves this toy set. She’s still into action figures and make believe. The playset is cute and will appeal to a lot of young kids. However, I noticed it’s not easy to make the doll stand by itself because the head is so much bigger and heavier than the rest of the body. The Rarity Slumber Party Beauty Set is intended for children ages five and up. It has a suggested retail price of $14.99. Note: some of the small pieces are choking hazard for kids under three years old.
Playskool Mr. Potato Head Transformers
As you can guess from the description, the Mr. Potato Head Transformer is a Mr. Potato Head toy with Transformers add-on pieces. There are three different versions: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Grimlock. My little guy got the Bumblebee one. The toy consists of four pieces: Mr. Potato Head, body and arms, legs, and helmet. The pieces are easy to assemble and disassemble. My son loves the toy. I think it’s cute, but I wish it was a full-size Mr. Potato Head with interchange eyes and ears pieces. The Mr. Potato Head Transformers are intended for children ages two and up and has a suggested retail price of $6.99. BTW, according to the press material, you can mix and match pieces from other sets to create something really wicked.
