The Young Messiah | Ribbow Media Group

The Young Messiah opened in theaters last weekend. The film is about a year in the life of Jesus at the age seven. The Young Messiah is inspired by Scripture and rooted in history. However, the Young Messiah isn’t just a story about Jesus, it’s a story about Jesus’ family, what kind of mother was Mary? How was Joseph as a parent? It’s a fresh take on a traditional story that teaches us family can support you and it can protect you no matter what struggle you’re going through. This is an important message for everyone and I hope this message sinks in with my kids. Even though my children argue a lot with each other, I hope they support each other too when their siblings need them to. To celebrate the release of the movie, I’m giving away a pair of AMC movie tickets on my blog. The tickets are good for any film. If there isn’t an AMC theater near you, arrangement can be made for another chain.

About The Young Messiah

Inspired by Scripture and rooted in history, this story imagines a year in the boyhood of Jesus. Remaining true to the character of Jesus revealed in the Bible, The Young Messiah is an inspirational story about the childhood of the Savior for the whole family. When the mystery of Jesus’ divinity begins to unfold in His early years, He turns to His parents for answers. But Mary and Joseph, in an effort to protect their child, are afraid to reveal all they know. How do you explain the ways of the world to its Creator? How do you teach the Teacher? How do you help the Savior who came to save you? Follow the young Messiah as He and His family take the extraordinary journey from Egypt to Nazareth and on to Jerusalem — where His true identity and profound destiny are revealed.

Check out the The Young Messiah Parenting featurette below and see why the film-makers feel the importance of connecting with the holy family and why they are relatable in today’s parenting world. With the blog app you can also find out which theater near you has a showing this week.

  1. We make sure we are available for our family members physically and emotionally. We need to be able to stick together and be each other’s support system.

  2. The Holy Family inspires me to live a life guided by the principals taught by the church. Thanks for the giveaway. I hope that I win.

  3. Support from the family is very important. I do not feel it from all the members of my family.. Although I do try to support and love each and everyone… This is one of the ways they will fell loved and cared about!

  4. If I won, I would actually love to send these tickets to my mother-in-law in Illinois! She would love this movie and would love to be able to go out to a theater to watch it. It would be a wonderful date night!

  5. The support and protection of your family is vital as it not only has a positive emotional effect but a physical benefit as well.

  6. I believe that the holy spirit reminds us to love and respect one another. Family is all about unconditional love. We support each other, even if we don’t always agree with each other’s choices, and we’re always there to protect each other. God has blessed me with my wonderful family.

  7. The “Young Massiah” movie trailer shows how moving and inspirational this movie will be. I love how Mary explained to Jesus what happened and who he was. The emotion of Joseph stating how grateful he was to be chosen by God to be Jesus’ father figure is so heart-felt. My family and I are really looking forward to seeing this movie.

  8. Mary and Joseph inspire me with their faith in God and their obedience to Him. Also their submission to God’s will for their lives, in being the earthly parents of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  9. Families need to protect and support each other at all times, because together we can get through anything. We need to present a united front in times of adversity.

  10. We support each other by attending each other’s important events and spending time together doing things we love.

  11. Family support is very important to us in everything we do, we need to feel secure and feel the strength from the support.

  12. The foundation of a loving, morale family gives a child a security. Exposing a child to God and his gift of salvation is an opportunity for a parent to bond with a child no matter what their age…and the choice for a child or young adult child to make, whether they make the choice at some point in their life, is a prayer this parent, hopes is fulfilled…winning these two tickets would be a further chance for my young adult child to get a fresh perspective on the gift of Jesus and hopefully accept God as their personal Savior. Thank you.

  13. what it means for family to support and protect each other ? To me it means being there and loving them unconditionally .Being there through the good times and the bad
