Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales

There’s a new Lego Star Wars movie out on DVD. It’s called Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales. I received the DVD for review on my dad blog. We loved it. We’re big fans of Lego Star Wars and the new DVD did not disappoint. The stories take place after Return of the Jedi and before The Fore Awakens. As you can probably guess, the central characters are R2-D2 and C-3PO. They are two of our favorite Star Wars characters. The 110-minute DVD features the two droids in five 22-minute episodes. In addition to the fun episodes, the DVD also includes an exclusive trading card set. As I mentioned already, Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales is available now on DVD.

Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales Episodes

In the five episodes of the DVD, C-3P0 shares stories from the Star Wars Universe:

  • Exit from Endor
    This episode takes place after the Death Star was destroyed in Return of the Jedi. While they celebrating, R2-D2 is kidnapped. In this episode, C-3P0 also share stories from The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

  • Crisis on Coruscant
    In the second episode, C-3P0 follows R2-D2 to Coruscant and remembers how Coruscant was the Capitol. C-3P0 also tells the story of Revenge of the Sith.

  • Mission to Mos Eisley
    While on Mos Eisley, C-3P0 tells the story of A New Hope. The droid also meets a kid that collects Rebel Cards.

  • Flight of the Falcon
    In this episode, C-3P0 and Chewbacca are flying in the Millennium Falcon. This time, C-3P0 tells the story of The Empire Strikes Back.

  • Gambit on Geonosis
    After C-3PO finds R2-D2 in the ruined Battledroid Factory on Geonosis, they get captured by General Veers and his band of rogue stormtroopers bent on restoring the Empire. While in captivity, C-3PO tells stories from Return of the Jedi.

The DVD featured the voices of Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Tom Kane (narrator), Trevor Devall (Emperor Palpatine, Admiral Piett, and Admiral Ackbar), Eric Bauza (Luke Skywalker), Michael Donovan (Count Dooku), Michael Daingerfield (Han Solo, Admiral Ozzel, and Biggs Pilot), Heather Doerksen (Princess Leia), Matt Sloan (Darth Vader), and Lee Tockar (Nute Gunray).

Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales Synopsis

The fun begins following the victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, at the end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. R2-D2 and C-3PO have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing, and suddenly you’re taken on a new journey that leads to the retelling of the entire Star Wars saga, as told by R2-D2 and C-3PO! It’s hilarious and playful, packed with all your favorite interlocking characters. Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales is intergalactic thrills for the whole family!
