Dear Sofia: A Royal Collection DVD Review

Dear Sofia: A Royal Collection DVD

The kids and I watched Dear Sofia: A Royal Collection yesterday. Disney Junior sent me the DVD for review on my dad blog. The DVD is a collection of animated stories (five episodes plus a bonus one). All the stories center around Princess Sofia, and in some of the episodes a Disney princess makes an appearance. The princesses making appearances include Mulan, Jasmine, Belle and Tiana (from the Princess and the Frog). Even though most of the main characters are girls, I think Dear Sofia will also appeal to little boys too. Dear Sofia: A Royal Collection is available now on DVD. BTW, for a limited time, the DVD includes a Sophia Themed Stationary Kit.

The DVD has a run time of about 110 minutes. Voice talents include Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Sofia, Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy) as Queen Miranda, Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal) as Clover, and Tim Gunn (Project Runway) as Baileywick. The voices of the princes are Ming-Na Wen (Mulan, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Mulan, Lea Salonga (Mulan, Aladdin) as Jasmine, Julie Nathanson (Just Deal, The Zeta Project) as Belle, and Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog, Dreamgirls) as Tiana.
