Teen Beach 2 Review – fun movie for the entire family

Teen Beach 2 - Walt Disney Studios

I recently watched Teen Beach 2 on DVD. Walt Disney Studios sent me the DVD for review on my dad blog. The musical is aimed at teenagers and tweens, but I’m sure many parents will like this film too — Teen Beach 2 is a fun movie for everyone. As expected, there’s a lot of singing and dance numbers throughout the movie. The tunes are energetic and the dancing is fun to watch. The kids and I loved it. In fact, we just got the DVD this week and have watched it twice already. I’m sure we’re going to watch it again over the Fourth of July weekend. Teen Beach Movie 2 is available now on DVD. BTW, the DVD currently includes a free magical necklace from the movie. Neat, right?

If you only care about the singing and don’t care about the story, you can watch Teen Beach 2 without watching the first DVD. The following is what you need to know if have not seen the first film. The four main characters are McKenzie, Brady, Lela and Tanner. McKenzie and Brady are teenagers from the real world. Lela and Tanner are fictional characters from a movie (Wet Side Story). In the first movie, McKenzie and Brady end up in an alternate universe where Wet Side Story characters are real. In the sequel, Lela and Tanner end up in the real world.

Teen Beach 2 stars Maia Mitchell (McKenzie / Mack), Ross Lynch (Brady), Grace Phipps (Lela), Garrett Clayton (Tanner). It was directed by Jeffrey Hornaday, and choreographed by Christopher Scott.

Dazzled by the novelty and variety of the modern world, Lela wants to stay, but the real world and the “reel” world just don’t mix. Can Mack and Brady find the magic to get the kids home and get their own romance back on track before it’s too late? Packed with electrifying song & dance numbers and hilarious fish-out-of-water wackiness, Teen Beach 2 is “wow-abunga” fun for everyone.

  1. We seen them perform on Dancing With the Stars last season and my kids loved it. Will have to get this for them.

  2. This is a film series that everyone in my family will actually sit down and watch together! Everyone loves all the songs and characters. Hope they have a new one, every year!
