16 Things About the 2015 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ

Chevy Equinox

I test drove a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ for five days. After driving the compact SUV for almost a week, I can honestly say I love it. I will definately keep this SUV in mind when I’m ready to buy another vehicle. To be honest, I wasn’t even thinking about purchasing an American car in the future. My last American car was a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. It had too many problems. The final straw was when three of the four engine bolts broke off while I was driving. It’s a good thing I wasn’t speeding along on the freeway when that happened. That would have been really bad. I only drove the Chevrolet Equinox for five days, but the car changed my perception of American-made vehicles. The Equinox seems to be really well made. I was very impressed with the quality of the car, the way it drove, and its features. BTW, the Equinox was a loaner as part of the Chevy Shop Social: Portland fundraiser for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

The based price of the Equinox LTZ is $33,670. My test vehicle featured a sunroof, dual-screen DVD, touch navigation, trailer package, and cross rail package. As configured, the price tag came to $38,020.

  1. So funny that you end with a shot of the engine. Such a guy.

I am also a new American made car fan. Chevy continues to impress. Have you driven the Impala or Malibu? You should. And if you like it that does not mean you are old.

    1. I almost had a heart attack when the engine dropped. I have not driven the impala or Malibu yet, but will keep them in mind when I’m ready for a new car.

  2. Our neighbor is renting a Chevy Equinox several weeks at a time and continues to request that same car time after time when the family jets into Florida. It must be good.

    1. I like the Equinox, but I might have to get something bigger depending on when we buy a new car. We’re a family of six and the Equinox only fits five. It’ll work when the oldest leaves for college in three years.
