Have you heard of Jasper the penguin? Until recently, neither have I. Shout! Factory sent me the Jasper: Journey To The End Of The World DVD for review and giveaway (three winners) on my dad blog. This is one of those DVDs that you shouldn’t judge by it’s cover art, which gives the impression that it’s for kiddies only. The DVD will appeal to the very young, but it was actually something my older kids and I enjoyed too. In the DVD, Jasper the penguin ends up on a cruise ship. While on the ship, he ends up having to rescue his adorable baby brother and some rare Kakapo eggs. Jasper: Journey To The End Of The World is available now on DVD. It’s a wonderful edition to your kids DVD library.
Jasper: Journey To The End Of The World Synopsis
Down at the icy South Pole, Jasper, the curious penguin and his family live a peaceful and happy life. Unlike the rest of his companions at the South Pole, Jasper believes there is a greater world beyond the edge of the ice. He is proved right when he finds himself aboard an ocean liner in the company of the rarest of birds, the Kakapo, whose main trait is that when frightened she wells up like a balloon. Along with Emma, the captain’s daughter, Jasper becomes embroiled in a rescue mission to save the Kakapo’s eggs from the menacing Dr. Block and his sidekick Rolf.
