Check out the Riddler costume I received for review on my dad blog. My son picked it out from the Wholesale Costume Club website. Apparently, he wants to be a villain next Halloween. As you can probably guess, Halloween is big at our house. In fact, a costume wouldn’t be consider a bad gift for Christmas in our family. I know, we’re weird. BTW, the costume is available in both medium and large sizes. The regular price for the item at Wholesale Costume Club is $28.98 ($26.96 for members).
My son loves his new Riddler costume, and I think he looks great in it. The costume includes eye mask, jacket with attached shirt, tie, and hat. We ordered the large size, which fits great on my son. However, the hat and mask appear to be one of those “one size fits all” items. The mask and hat do fit, but they seem to be on the small size in comparison to the rest of the costume. Note: the mask has a velcro strap that is adjustable, but it still looks too small.
As most of you know, the Riddler is a nemesis of Batman. The villain was in the third Batman movie from the first Batman series, but wasn’t in the new Dark Knight trilogy. BTW, if the Riddler isn’t your costume of choice, you should check out some of the other Arkham’s finest costumes — like Batman and Catwoman.
This is a little off tangent, but have any of you been watching Gotham? If you have, you might have noticed a forensic expert named Dr. Edward Nigma. That’s actually the Riddler’s real name. It looks like he isn’t a major character on Gotham this season, but I’m sure he will be eventually. For those of you who don’t know, the Riddler is obsessed with riddles, puzzles and word games, and he loves to dish out clever clues that need to be solved. I think that’s one of the reasons my son wants to be the Riddler for Halloween next year. Either that or my son wants to follow in the steps of Edward Nigma and become a master criminal someday. I hope it’s not the latter.
