The kids and I went to Disney on Ice on Sunday at the Moda Center. It’s the first time we’ve been to a Disney on Ice show. It was awesome and we had a fun time. The theme of the show was Let’s Celebrate! It was a wonderful celebration that featured great tunes and a million and one Disney characters. OK, that was a little exaggeration, but you get the picture.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure I would enjoy the show. Before I saw the show, I was thinking it’s basically a bunch of people in costumes skating around a rink. But that’s not the case. In fact, I didn’t even noticed they were skating most of the time. We loved the songs in the show and it was cool to see all the Disney characters the kids grew up with. There were even some characters my kids don’t even know about yet.
Disney on Ice Let’s Celebrate ended its run in the Portland area over the weekend. But you can still catch the show in other areas. Check out their road schedule online. If you have not seen Disney on Ice, I highly recommend it. Ticket prices start at around $20 and goes up to about $70 for rinkside tickets.
