Transformers Rescue Bots: Mystery Rescue

The kids and I watched the new Transformers Rescue Bots DVD over the weekend. Shout! Factory and Hasbro Studios sent the DVD to me for review on my dad blog. The new title is called Transformers Rescue Bots: Mystery Rescue. I think this is the third Transformers Rescue Bots DVD we’ve seen. It’s one of those titles that will appeal more to younger kids, but my eleven year old son watched it too and I think he also enjoyed it. Transformers Rescue Bots: Mystery Rescue is available now on DVD. The DVD has a list price of $14.93.

Transformers Rescue Bots: Mystery Rescue includes five episodes from the HUB TV series. The DVD has a runtime of about 110 minutes. The main Transformers characters are Chase, Heatwave, Blades and Boulder. The Transformers characters are like the regular Transformers we’ve seen in movies. But their mission in life is to rescue people. Hence the name: Transformers Rescue Bots. The stories also include humans from the Burns family.

The stories take place in the small, happy town of Griffin Rock. As the title of the DVD suggests, the episodes has a mystery theme to them. In the first episode, people in town start to disappear and the Transformers have to figure out why. In the second episode, ghosts are haunting the characters of the show. In the third episode, the characters fall under a spell that makes them dig up the town. In the fourth episode, one of the human characters keeps having nightmares about gremlins and he doesn’t know why. In the last episode, an ape-like monster is running around and eating up food in the little town.
