Transformers Rescue Bots: Heroes On The Scene

I watched the new Transformers Rescue Bots: Heroes On The Scene DVD recently with my kids. Hasbro Studios and Shout! Factory sent me a copy to review on my dad blog. I’ve never seen the series before. It’s very different from the other animated and live action Transformers series. The main difference is that the Autobots are part of a rescue team. There are no Decepticons in the series. In the episodes, the enemy is danger. The series is aimed mainly at preschoolers. Transformers Rescue Bots: Heroes On The Scene will be available on DVD tomorrow. It has a suggested retail price of $14.93, but you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $13.44.

In the Transformers Rescue Bots series, four Autobots work at a fire station with a group of human friends and family. The four Autobots are Chase (police car), Heatwave (fire engine), Blades (helicopter) and Boulder (bulldozer). The episodes are family friendly and reminds me of the Fireman Sam series. BTW, Transformers Rescue Bots is currently airing on The HUB TV Network in the U.S. and on Treehouse in Canada.

The Heroes On The Scene DVD features five episodes. In the DVD, the Rescue Bots go undercover to protect the quiet little town of Griffin Rock from the green ooze known as the Squilsh, recover treasure stolen by pirates and help Griffin Rock recover from an earthquake. Along with their human friends, the Burns family, the Rescue Bots help keep people safe, and along the way they learn what it really means to be a hero.

Transformers Rescue Bots features the voices of LeVar Burton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Lacey Chabert (Party of Five), Steve Blum (Transformers Prime), Maurice LaMarche (Futurama) and Peter Cullen who voices Optimus Prime when he makes cameo appearances in the series.

  1. I have to admit, I still enjoy watching the Transformers cartoons. But I have never seen this particular series… but any cartoon with the Transformers has to be fun! I’ll have to check this out! :)

  2. Oh Carter would love this! We have not seen them before, but he is growing up and starting to get into things like this! Will have to give this a try with him!
