There’s a new Thomas DVD coming out soon. Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment sent us the new DVD to review on my dad blog. We watched it over the weekend, and I can tell you my pre-schooler likes it. I think it’s because he’s still into trains. Maybe he’ll be a conductor some day. The latest Thomas title features six never-before-seen episodes. We don’t watch the show on TV, so it’s always never-seen-before for us. Thomas & Friends: Spills & Thrills will be available on DVD, Digital HD and Video on Demand next Tuesday (March 4, 2014). It has a list price of $14.98, but you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $12.99. BTW, you can also try to win the DVD on my blog.
The 67-minute DVD includes six new episodes and three bonus features. Like usual, the stories take place on the Island of Sodor. And like usual, the engines try to be useful, but end up with problems instead. James tries to prove he’s not afraid of the dark, or too vain to haul smelly fish, but when he pulls the night time Kipper Express he gets more than he bargained for. Stephen’s need for speed, and Salty’s need to impress, send them both into some sticky, slippery situations. Hiro shows Diesel that nice engines do finish first and Sir Topham Hatt shows you can’t cry over spilled milk (twice).
