Support the U.S. Olympic Team – win a $100 Visa gift card

#ItsOurTime app - AT&T

The Olympic Winter Games are finally here. My favorite events are short and long track speed skating. Actually, I love to watch most of the events. They are so exciting and the athletes are so inspiring. Unlike the annual national and world championships, the Winter Olympics only take place once every four years. It takes a lot of hard work, determination, and talent to win an Olympic medal. All athletes deserve our support. But because I’m an American, I’m rooting for Team USA. BTW, AT&T is a proud sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team and the U.S. Paralympic Team. And thanks to AT&T, I’m giving away a gold medal prize pack consisting of a $100 Visa Gift card and a Team USA memorabilia package (t-shirt, gloves, signed picture). Continue reading to find out how you can enter the contest and support the U.S. Olympic Team.

It’s Our Time

For years our Olympians have worked tirelessly to represent America. Now it’s time to show them your support. There are many ways to do this, but one of the easiest ways to support our team is with AT&T’s new app. The app is free and easy to use. All you have to do is chant U-S-A and then upload the short video to an interactive wall of support that will be seen digitally and on TV. The idea behind the wall is that athletes inspire us and we can play it forward by inspiring them with our support. The #ItsOurTime app is available now on iTunes and Google Play. BTW, you can see my wife’s chant here.

Meet Team USA

In my opinion, Winter Olympics events are just as exciting as summer events. But unlike the Summer Olympics, winter athletes are generally not as well known. To help you out, I’ve compiled a list of nine American athletes to keep an eye on:

  • Shaun White – Snowboarding (Halfpipe)
  • Shani Davis – Long Track Speedskating
  • Meryl Davis – Figure Skating (Ice Dance)
  • Charlie White – Figure Skating (Ice Dance)
  • Justin Reiter – Snowboarder (Alpine)
  • Noelle Pikus Pace – Skeleton
  • Alyson Dudek – Short Track Speedskating
  • Heath Calhoun – Alpine Skiing (Paralympian)
  • Alana Nichols – Alpine Skiing (Paralympian)

  1. Definitely ice skating, since I was once a competitive ice skater. I love both ladies and ice dancing, because I did both.

  2. I LOVE watching the figure skating in the Olympics, especially the pairs skaters. The long program is the most exciting because it determines the winners! :)
