Gimme Shelter Giveaway – win two movie tickets

Gimme Shelter Movie Ticket Giveaway

OK, movie lovers. I have an awesome giveaway on my dad blog today. Thanks to Roadside Attractions, I’m giving away two movie tickets (to see any film). The giveaway is in conjunction with today’s release of Gimme Shelter. The film is about a 16-year-old homeless mother. It’s based on a true story. Gimme Shelter stars Vanessa Hudgens, James Earl Jones, Rosario Dawson, and Brendan Fraser. Maybe it’s just me, but Vanessa Hudgens looks like Justin Bieber in the movie poster. Am I crazy? Don’t answer that.

Gimme Shelter Synopsis

Being a mother is the toughest job in the world… Period. Now imagine… you are young, homeless, and without a family to lean on for support. That’s exactly what happened to Agnes “Apple” Baily. Based on a true story, Ronald Krauss’ new film “Gimme Shelter,” stars Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) as 16-year-old Agnes “Apple” Baily, a teenager who sets out to find her biological father and is forced into the streets in a true journey of survival.

  1. I’m not a mother personally, but I think managing the house is the toughest part.. Cooking, cleaning, and other household chores are a hassle and take up the whole day. Moms are superhuman.

  2. Being a mom requires juggling so many different things and has so much influence on kids that if it is not the toughest. It was one of the toughest.

  3. Once you are a parent you have to do things right. you have to teach, nourish , love unconditionally it is the most important job in the world

  4. It’s a 24/7 job and it never ends. Even after they are grown and gone there are still problems and issues that we are concerned with the rest of our lives. Also our society has little appreciation for the amount of work it is to be home with a child. Women are the worst towards stay at home mothers. They think that if we don’t work outside the home and leave our children with other women to raise that we are not working.

  5. It is only a hard job because there are no breaks. You go to sleep and wake up being a mother. You do everything for your children. Sometimes you have help and sometimes you dont, but no matter what you are always responsible for someone elses well being.

  6. Being a mother is the toughest role in the world because of so many conflicting responsibilities–to take care of one’s child ahead of oneself, to balance structure with graduated autonomy, to manage one’s own personality with a developing child’s spirit, etc.

  7. Being a mom is so hard because by the time you figure out if you have done it right, it’s too late to try again

  8. I think it’s hard because your main job is to raise independent people. But then those independent people have minds of their own…and don’t always make the same choices that you would!

  9. Iam a mother, living everyday is hard enough but taking complete and total control over caring for another, and nother and another… its extremely challenging. almost impossible but somehow we all do it.

  10. I think it’s the hardest job because it is an endless job of caring for your children to ensure that they are good citizens of the world.
