I have another movie-related giveaway on my movie blog. The contest ties in with the upcoming release of Copperhead. The film takes place during the Civil War. It’s a story about a dairy farmer that is neither a Yankee nor a Rebel. He is a Copperhead. BTW, this year marks the 150 year anniversary of the Civil War and The Battle of Gettysburg. Copperhead opens in theaters June 28th. Read on to find out how to win a Copperhead movie pack consisting of:

  • Movie theater cash for admission
  • Official Copperhead movie poster hand signed by Director/Producer Ron Maxwell (Gettysburg, Gods and Generals) (27 X 40)
  • The Copperhead official companion book {author: Harold Frederic)

Copperhead Synopsis
From director Ron Maxwell, (Gettysburg, Gods and Generals) Copperhead is unlike any other Civil War movie. Far from the Virginia battlefield, it’s the exciting story of Abner Beech (Billy Campbell), a peace-loving but stubborn dairy farmer in upstate New York. He detests slavery, but opposes the war for the sake of the Union. Abner is neither a Yankee nor a Rebel. He is a Copperhead. This is an extraordinary story of family and community.

  1. Intrigued by the homemade ketchup recipe. my mother would put in a huge garden and she made her own ketchup. It was an oldtime recipe where a variety of spices were tied in cheesecloth so the bulk of the spice would be removed after the recipe is reduced, keeping the product smooth and red. One time the bag broke open and the family was largely divided. My mother returned to original recipe but my brothers loved the more spicy brown ketchup. This was years ago and I’m not sure what spices were in that bag.

  2. I am a Civil War Humongous History Buff. My score was covered by another section of the blog, but I could see that I scored much better than the average score.
