Giveaway: Escape from Planet Earth – win a $25 Visa gift card
Has anyone heard of Escape from Planet Earth? I didn’t until recently. When I first heard the title, I thought it was another film in the Planet of the Apes series. Escape from Planet Earth (The Weinstein Company) is actually an animated movie about some blue aliens from the planet Baab. The film hits theaters on Friday, February 15th. And thanks to The Weinstein Company, I’m hosting a giveaway on my dad blog. The prize is a $25 Visa gift card and an Escape from Planet Earth swag bag. Nice!
I’m looking forward to seeing Escape from Planet Earth with my four kids. Hopefully, there will be a screening in the Portland area. BTW, dads, moms and children can download the official Escape from Planet Earth movie app for iOS and Android mobile devices. You can take your photo with characters, watch videos, read the storybook, buy tickets and more.
BTW, if you’re planning on watching the Super Bowl this Sunday, then download the Escape from Planet Earth Super Bowl Tool Kit. The goodies include fun activities that all kids can enjoy such as coloring books, a crossword puzzle, and web activities. The kit will keep the little aliens occupied so you can enjoy the Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens. You better hurry. The kit will be available online until February 8, 2013.
Escape from Planet Earth Synopsis
The 3D animated family comedy catapults moviegoers to planet Baab where admired astronaut Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a national hero to the blue alien population. A master of daring rescues, Scorch pulls off astonishing feats with the quiet aid of his nerdy, by-the-rules brother, Gary (Rob Corddry), head of mission control at BASA. When BASA’s no-nonsense chief Lena (Jessica Alba) informs the brothers of an SOS from a notoriously dangerous planet, Scorch rejects Gary’s warnings and bounds off for yet another exciting mission. But when Scorch finds himself caught in a fiendish trap set by the evil Shanker (William Shatner) it’s up to scrawny, risk-averse Gary to do the real rescuing. As the interplanetary stakes rise to new heights, Gary is left to save his brother, his planet, his beloved wife Kira (Sarah Jessica Parker) and their adventure-hungry son Kip (Jonathan Morgan Heit).

Yes I do
I’m not sure, surely we aren’t the only ones.
Yes! I do!
I believe there is SOME form of alien life elsewhere in the universe…I doubt that little green men fly around in saucers molesting cows and flattening corn.
Yep. It’s silly to think we’re the only ones in this whole universe.

I believe there may be another galaxy with aliens..but on the planets in our galaxy probably not.

There are so many other planets that I do believe in it.
I do not believe in aliens
I agree with Lisa. I think it may be possible in another galaxy, but probably not ours. Who knows? I believe it is possible that there are other lifeforms out there.
I do believe there are other life forms somewhere out there – the universe is too vast not to have other inhabitants!
I’d like to believe there aren’t
