Fireman Sam: Holiday Heroes DVD ~ Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment

Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment sent me a Fireman Sam DVD for review and giveaway on my dad blog. The title is called Fireman Sam: Holiday Heroes (just in time for the holidays). It’s a nice stocking stuffer for the little fireman in your life. Fireman Sam: Holiday Heroes is available now on DVD, and via digital download and video on demand. The DVD has a list price of $9.98. However, you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $6.97.

The Christmas themed Fireman Sam is 55 minutes long. It includes five episodes and two bonus features.

  • The Big Chill
    Norman plays with his mom’s best scarf outside even though she tells him not to. Norman gets it all dirty so he and his friend wash it and put it in the oven to dry it. Meanwhile at the fire station, there is no electricity so Fireman Sam and his crew keeps warm by doing silly things. Then they get a call that there’s a fire at Norman’s house because of the scarf in the oven.

  • The Pontypandy Polar Bear
    Sarah convinces her brother James to go out in the snow in search of polar bears. Sarah really wants to use his camera to take pictures for a contest. But they end up lost in the mountain. Fireman Sam and crew use a camera to rescue them. Their camera is actually a special remote control helicopter camera that senses heat from your body.

  • Ice-Cold in Pontypandy
    Trevor the bus driver is preoccupied and accidentally runs off the road with a bus full of passengers. One of the passengers heads out in the snow and cold wind to find help. Trevor stays behind and builds a fire to keep them all warm, but he doesn’t realize that he and the bus are on a frozen pond. As a result, the ice starts to crack.

  • Snowball of Doom
    A pipe bursts at the fire station. The crew calls Mike to come fix it. Meanwhile, Norman and his friend use an ironing board to sled down the snowy mountain. Unfortunately, they accidentally create a giant runaway snowball that eventually traps Mike. Then Fireman Sam comes to the rescue by using the ironing board to get down the hill to find Mike.

  • Floodlights
    Pontypandy is setting up holiday lights to prepare for the Pontypandy Holiday Lighting Competition. Norman and his friends want to win the competition. But then they accidentally start a fire when they use too many lights. Fireman Sam and crew come to the rescue by putting out the fire.

  • Fireman Sam’s Safety Show
    In this bonus feature, Fireman Sam and friends show kids how to stay safe in the home. There is a cute song about fire safety at the end.

  • Merry Christmas Everybody!
    This bonus features a catchy Christmas music video: Merry Christmas Everybody. In the music video, they sing the song with things related to Fireman Sam and Pontypandy.

  1. My son LOVES Fireman Sam! He will instantly stop playing to watch whenever it comes on at the end of our Bob the Builder movie!
