Book Review: Time for Kids Zoo 3D

Time for Kids Zoo 3D: An Incredible Animal Adventure

Check out the new Time for Kids book I received for review on my dad blog. The latest title is called Time for Kids Zoo 3D: An Incredible Animal Adventure. The hardback book features 80 pages of photographs and interesting information about animals. As you can tell by the title, the photographs are in 3D. Two 3D glasses are included. The second pair of glasses is so your kid can share the book with a friend. It’ll also come in handy if your child loses a pair or accidentally rip one. Time for Kids Zoo 3D is available now. The book has a list price of $19.95, but you can currently purchase it on Amazon for $14.36.

Zoo 3D is intended for children ages 9-12. However, the new Time for Kids book will appeal to kids of all ages (even moms and dads). The book includes almost 100 large-scale, state-of-the art 3D photos shot by master photographer, David Klutho.

The book features animals like grizzly bears, polar bears, giant pandas, rhinoceros, cougars, lions, bats, grasshoppers, and crocodiles. Zoo 3D is organized in seven sections:

  • Mammals
  • Birds
  • Insects
  • Amphibians
  • Reptiles
  • Who’s who at the zoo
  • Just for fun

My son laughed hysterically when he saw the photo of an elephant’s rear in 3D. He’s into bathroom humor right now. Don’t worry, parents. The book isn’t silly like that. It’s full of interesting information. For instance, did you know that when a gorilla yawns, it’s actually nervous and not tired? How about this: Humboldt penguins have bare pink spots to help them cool off in warm climates. BTW, I wouldn’t want to be an African moon moth. They don’t have a mouth for eating and they only live for about a week after becoming adults.
