Giveaway: Dark Shadows Blu-ray Combo Pack

Dark Shadows Blu-ray Combo Pack ~ Warner Bros.

Thanks to Warner Bros., I’m giving away their Dark Shadows Blu-ray Combo Pack on my dad blog. Isn’t that vam-tastic? I have not seen the movie yet, but I’m looking forward to reviewing it. The film is about Barnabas (Johnny Depp), who was turned into a vampire by a jilted lover. He is buried in a coffin for two centuries. When he emerges, the world has changed drastically. He was buried alive in 1780, but now it’s 1972. You can own Dark Shadows on Blu-ray Combo Pack or Digital Download on October 2nd.

Eva Green (Angelique Bouchard) in Dark Shadows Movie ~ Warner Bros.

What would you do after being in a box for two centuries? Think about this because the question is a big part of the entry process for the giveaway. I think I would go use the bathroom [Question: do vampires pee?], take a shower, and get something to eat. I guess that means I need to bite someone and suck their blood. Maybe Eva Green (photo above). She’s a witch (Angelique Bouchard) in Dark Shadows, but I think her neck is wickedly lovely.

Dark Shadows Plot Outline

In the year 1760, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet — or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles. Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth’s ne’er-do-well brother, Roger Collins, (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger’s precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis, played by Jackie Earle Haley, and David’s new nanny, Victoria Winters, played by Bella Heathcote.

  1. I’d stretch. One of those long, luxurious stretches that pulls on every muscle and fills u the lungs. I might even yawn :)

  2. figure out safety – do not want anyone putting me back in that or any box!

then let’s move on to shower, food, and what’s going on

  3. I would first want to do a lot of stretching, then I would want something to eat! After being stuck in a box for so long, I know that I would have worked up a mighty appetite! :-)

  4. The first thig I’d do would be to take a long, cool drink. Then off to the bathroom for a sit-down and long, hot shower! Thanks.

  5. I’d probably take a walk to get the lay of the land and then see if I could find a sympathetic person to tell me what’s going on.

  6. I would love to be in a box for two centuries. I would take a look at all the latest technology. It would be fun learning things all over again.
