Review: Philips Norelco Bodygroom Pro Grooming System
Philips Norelco sent me their Bodygroom Pro for review on my dad blog. I love it for several reasons. First, it’s sleek, looks sharp and comes with a nifty looking charging stand that can fold for storage. Second, the Norelco body groomer is a multi-purpose electric shaver for the entire body. Finally, the Bodygroom Pro doesn’t irritate my skin. This is important to me because I have sensitive skin. Does this mean I’m a sensitive guy?
One of the first things I noticed about the Bodygroom Pro is its dual-end design. On one end is a 3D pivoting shaving head that closely follows a body’s contours. The shaving head features a hypo-allergenic foil and patented pearl tips for a skin-friendly shave. BTW, the blades are self sharpening. Nice, right?
On the other end of the Bodygroom Pro is a trimmer with five integrated length settings (1/8″ to 11/25″). I love the integrated length adjustments. This means less hassle compared to a trimmer that requires attachments.
The cordless Bodygroom Pro only needs one hour to charge it. According to the product literature, you can get 50 minutes of use on a single charge. I just got the electric razor so I have not verified this. Plus I don’t usually keep track of how long a charge lasts on my razor. However, I can tell you the LED battery indicator indicates the shaver is still fully charge even though it’s been almost a week since I charged it.
The Philips Norelco Bodygroom Pro is 100% waterproof. According to the product literature, it’s safe to use the body groomer in the shower. I didn’t actually try using the Bodygroom Pro in the shower because I don’t feel comfortable with using electronic devices in the shower. I’m old school and was taught not to use electrical devices in the bathtub or shower.
In summary, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom Pro BG2040/34 is a very practical gift for dads. They will love it. The all-in-one men’s grooming system has a list price of $69.99. However, you can currently purchase it for $49.97 on Amazon.
