DVD Review and Giveaway ~ Timmy Time: Happy Birthday Timmy

Timmy Time: Happy Birthday Timmy ~ Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment

I received the new Timmy Time: Happy Birthday Timmy DVD for review on my dad blog. Of all the kids movies I received for review, Timmy Time is one of my top two favorite series. The characters are cute and there’s no dialogue to follow. Thanks to Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment, I’m giving away the new Timmy Time DVD. Timmy Time: Happy Birthday Timmy is available today. It has a list price of $14.98, but you can currently purchase it for $11.93 on Amazon.

In case you have not seen Timmy before, the series is about Timmy the lamb and his animals friends at a pre-school. The 46-minute DVD includes five episodes and two bonus features.

Timmy Time: Happy Birthday Timmy Episodes

Timmy’s Birthday
The teacher and kids at the preschool make a cake for Timmy. It’s his birthday. Timmy wants to eat the cake right away, but the teacher insists on doing some activities first. Timmy tries to go along, but his mind is on the birthday cake. Timmy can’t stand it anymore and ends up eating the whole cake by himself.

Count on Timmy
The pre-schoolers get to buy items at the school’s store. This episode is actually a lesson in counting because the animals have to count the number of buttons to determine if they can purchase an item in the store. Buttons are the currency of choice for the preschool animals in Timmy Time.

Timmy’s New Friend
At school, everyone has a friend to play with except for Timmy. So Timmy makes a friend out of Playdoh. Then his friend is smashed. Another preschooler (a duck) makes another Playdoh friend for Timmy. The duck and Timmy eventually becomes friends. The kids and I have actually seen this episode before on another DVD.

Timmy’s Pet Problem
Timmy has a pet. It’s actually a mop, but Timmy interacts with the mop as if it was a real animal. Then one day, Timmy wakes up and his mop friend is gone.

Timmy Learns to Fly
Timmy dreams of flying like a superhero. He can’t fly so his dresses up like an owl and tries to fly like his owl friend. He still can’t fly, so his friends make a kite of him. This makes Timmy happy because at least his kite can fly.

Timmy Time Sing-Along
This is a sing-along, but there’s no caption or lyrics to sing along with because the song features animal sounds.

Timmy in a Tizzy Bonus Episode
In this Shaun the Sheep episode, Timmy is crying because the farmer took his plush animal. Timmy keeps crying so Shaun sneaks into the farmer’s house and steal the plush animal back.
