Giveaway: The Adventures of Tintin DVD Prize Pack
Thanks to Paramount Pictures, I’m giving away an Adventure Kit on my dad blog. The prize pack consists of The Adventures of Tintin DVD, a plush animal, an open faced compass, a magnifying glass, chocolate coins in a metallic bag and a mini globe. That’s a pretty neat movie prize pack. The animated movie is based on a series of comic books created by Belgian artist Hergé (Georges Remi). The film features the team of Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, and won a Golden Globe award for best animated feature. BTW, The Adventures of Tintin comes out on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD (all with Ultraviolet), on-demand and digital download tomorrow (March 13th).
My youngest daughter and I saw a screening of The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn last year. The scene transitions in the movie were awesome. The story starts off with Tintin buying a model ship, the Unicorn, at a flea market. Right after he buys the ship, two other people offer to buy the Unicorn from Tintin. He declines and later his home is trashed and the ship is stolen. Tintin tries to find his ship, but ends up getting kidnapped. Later, Tintin meets Captain Haddock, who is a descendant of Sir Francis Haddock — the captain of the original Unicorn. The Adventures of Tintin features pirates, hidden scrolls, and sunken treasure.
According to the press material, there are three versions of the DVD: Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo, Blu-ray/DVD combo, and standard DVD. Here’s what included in the two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo edition:
- Feature film in high definition
- Toasting Tintin: Part 1
- The Journey of Tintin
- The World of Tintin
- The Who’s Who of Tintin
- Tintin: Conceptual Design
- Tintin: In the Volume
- Snowy: From Beginning to End
- Animating Tintin
- Tintin: The Score
- Collecting Tintin
- Toasting Tintin: Part 2
The three-disc Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo also includes a Blu-ray 3D disc of the movie. The one-disc DVD only includes the movie in standard definition. I don’t think it has any bonus features like the two Blu-ray versions.
