Giveaway: The Oregon Trail Video Game for the Wii and 3DS
Here’s a game from the past: the Oregon Trail video game (review). I vaguely remember playing this game when I was a kid. The retro game is now available for the Nintendo Wii and 3DS. In the Oregon Trail game, its your job to lead your family across 2000+ miles of rough terrain from Independence, Missouri to Oregon City in the middle of the 19th century. The Oregon Trail game was created in 1971 by three student teachers at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. It became a big hit throughout Minneapolis public schools. Since that time, the game has gone through a number of editions on a variety of platforms, including Apple II, Macintosh, DOS, Windows and iPhone/iPod Touch. Today, The Oregon Trail legacy is nurtured by The Learning Company, a division of global education leader Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
