Giveaway: Seattle’s Best Coffee Level 2

Seattle's Best Coffee Levels ~ Bright and Lively

Seattle’s Best Coffee sent me a bag of their Level 2 coffee to try out their Bright and Lively, Fresh and Fruity Smoothie recipe. The smoothie includes ingredients like banana, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey, and Level 2 coffee. Level 2 is actually one of five levels in Seattle’s Best new packaged coffee line. The levels represent the strength of the coffee. Level 1 is the lightest and Level 5 is the darkest. Seattle’s Best Coffee Levels are available at major grocery stores nationwide.

Thanks to Seattle’s Best Coffee, two readers of my dad blog will each win a bag of the Level 2 coffee. The winners can use it to brew fresh hot coffee or use it to make a Bright and Lively, Fresh and Fruity Smoothie (recipe below).

Bright and Lively, Fresh and Fruity Smoothie Recipe (2 servings)

  • Seattle’s Best Level 2 coffee (1 cup, cold-brewed)
  • Greek nonfat yogurt (1/2 cup)
  • Banana (ripe and chopped)
  • Honey (1 tablespoon)
  • Peanut butter (1 tablespoon, use ground nuts if you don’t have peanut butter)
  • Ice (about 3/4 cup)

Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Add ice until you reach the desired consistency. And then enjoy the drink and give yourself a little energy boost. BTW, feel free to check out their short step-by-step video for the Bright and Lively, Fresh and Fruity Smoothie Recipe.

I tried the recipe and thought it was OK. I thought the coffee overwhelmed the smoothie a little. Next time, Im going to use less coffee and more honey. Keep in mind I love my coffee super, super sweet.

  1. Carmel, definitely carmel……yum!!! I think it would be EXTRA delicious with the carmel and a few frewsh strawberries…sort of a banan split taste.

    Liked it; twittered it also.

  2. My addition is more like substraction since I’d make every ingredient sugar free. I’d top it off with sugar free whipped topping.

  3. I’m thinking that a bit of cocoa would be great added to that smoothy … bananas, peanut butter, coffee … and chocolate. What could be better … it’s like all the basic food groups (hehe … well, in my book anyway).

  4. I have a husband that is all he does is drink coffee and boy could I use Seattle’s Best Coffee his favorite. His favorite coffee. Like on FB and thanks for the sweep. Hope to win :)

  5. I make coffee smoothies for my husband and myself often. I don’t like the idea of banana in my coffee so I would leave that out.
I would add a teaspoon of vanilla, 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder. Also if I have it i would use Almond butter in place of peanut butter.
If you omit the banana you will need to add a little more honey to taste. Also it helps if your coffee is xtra strong. Ice waters it down.

  6. Thanks for the giveaway…I would add a few tablespoons of wheat germ, or your favorite protein powder.
