Texas on Tour – win a vacation for two

  • comment

If you’ve never been to Texas, you should check out the Texas on Tour (Facebook | Twitter) mobile exhibit. The tour started in April and runs through August. There are nine stops coast to coast, but there only four stops left on the tour. Texas on Tour features virtual reality, a 30-foot dome enclosed theater, green screen video and photography, interactive games, and live music. BTW, you can enter to win an all expense paid trip to Texas for two in the Texas on Tour Sweepstakes. You can enter online or in person at a tour stop. The grand prize winner will receive roundtrip air travel for two, and seven days and six nights accommodations at a hotel. The grand prize winner can select from the following Texas vacations: (1) Great Outdoors, (2) Urban Flair (3) Texas Beach Getaway, and (4) Dude Ranch.

Texas on Tour isn’t making a stop in Oregon, but the 5,400 square-foot interactive exhibit sounds interesting. I like the concept of bringing the state of Texas to people who have never been there. Like me. I use to picture Texas as a dry place full of cowboys, pickups, and diehard football fans. But after I scanned their website, I now think Texas is a wonderful place to visit — especially the beaches.
