I Need a Vacation – Hotels.com Giveaway

I need a vacation. I really do — especially after another eventful evening with Little Disney. Over the weekend, he ate something that caused a horrific rash to quickly spread all over his tiny body. Then he vomited all over Mommy Forever and became non-responsive. His eyes glazed over and then his eyes became droopy. As some of my readers know, Little Disney has a lot of health problems — two of which are food allergies and prone to seizures. So for the second time in eight months, we had to call 911 and had him whisked away in an ambulance to the ER. Luckily, Little Disney didn’t go into seizure this time and he was released from the hospital after about four hours. Now, he’s back to his normal cute self. But mom and dad are still stressed out. We need a vacation to recover.

Hotels.com for lodging and vacationsSpeaking of vacations, I want to let you know I’m hosting a mini-vacation giveaway on my dad blog. Thanks to Hotels.com (Facebook | Twitter), one lucky dad or mom can de-stress with a free night stay at a hotel of their choice (up to $350 in value). Before I get to the details of the lodging giveaway, I want to write about Hotels.com’s I Need a Vacation summer sweepstakes. The winner will receive a check for $102,250 with no strings attached. The amount comes out to about a vacation a year for 50 years, or three months travelling the world in high style. Sign me up. I’m ready for a vacation now. A long one.

I need a Vacation Sweepstakes
A lucky dad or mom could win a lifetime of vacations ($102,250 check). The sweepstakes also include daily giveaways of Flip Ultra camcorders. The deadline to enter is September 6, 2010. This sweepstake is not hosted on my dad blog, but this is how you can enter:

  1. Go to the Vacation for Life sweepstakes page
  2. Upload a picture that shows you need a vacation
  3. Tell all your friends – and get them to vote for you every day
  4. Most votes wins

Hampton Inn. I didn’t stay there, I just was there at my mom’s room and I remember the beautiful fluffy comfy bed. I had to meet her there for my sister’s funeral :( I’ve never had a real vacation!

  32. sheila k. says:

My sis likes Hampton Inn, but I’ve never stayed there. The only major hotel chain I have used in the past is the Marriott and that was because the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., conferences were there and having founded a state chapter of the L.F.A., Inc., I flew several times to the East Coast, Chicago and Dallas. After coping with raising three kids by myself and dealing with lupus and other rare medical disorders, I REALLY need a vacation.
