SoundSpa Lullaby Review
HoMedics sent me a SoundSpa Lullaby for review. I love it. My wife loves it. Even the little one likes it. The SoundSpa Lullaby is a device for soothing babies, toddlers, and dads (I'm serious, the SoundSpa Lullaby can help parents fall asleep too). It's a combination mobile and sound machine. But instead of an actual mobile, the SoundSpa Lullaby projects the rotating images on a ceiling or wall. My wife and I bought a motorized mobile before. We hated it. The motor was too loud and annoyed the heck out of us. The baby didn't like it either and we eventually returned it. The SoundSpa Lullaby, on the other hand, is whisper quiet when the audio is off (separate on/off switches for audio and projector).
What tunes does the SoundSpa Lullaby play?
The SoundSpa Lullaby can play three songs and three sounds: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; Rock-A-Bye-Baby; Brahms Cradle Song; rain; ocean; and heartbeat. There is also a volume control so dads and moms can play the tunes at just the right volume for the little one.
What kind of images does it project?
The device comes with three image discs: fish, stars, and animals. I like the stars disk the best. Too bad you can't a order disc of superheroes for a geek dad like me. BTW, there is a knob for adjusting the brightness of the images.
Is there a timer?
Yes, there is a timer setting for 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. By default, the timer is set for continuous when you turn on the SoundSpa Lullaby. Personally, I think it would be better if the default was set for 30 minutes. It's easy to forget to change the setting every night. Plus it's hard to see the timer button in the dark.
Is the projector adjustable?
Yes, you can adjust the projector from zero to 90 degrees. As I mentioned previously, you can project the images on the ceiling or on a wall. I have our SoundSpa Lullaby pointed at a 60 degrees angle to project to the ceiling from our changing table.
How much does the SoundSpa Lullaby cost?
The SoundSpa Lullaby currently sells for $20 on the HoMedics website and $26.54 at Amazon, which is a little odd because the manufacturer usually sells their items at the higher list price ($35).

That sounds lovely! $20.00 is a fabulous price!
We had a baby sounds/projector hanging on Roo's crib. He Loved it! It had a big button to push to make it turn on and we found him in his crib when he was 6 or 7 months old pushing the button with his feet. The only reason we took it down was when we moved him into his big boy bed and couldn't figure out how to attach it to his wall.
We have a stuff animal that makes sounds. When the toddler wakes up, sometimes he turns on the sound and then throws it out of his crib. That's his way of telling us he's awake. Much better than crying.
i love these!!!
