Box Tops for Education
The Box Tops for Education team sent me an email about their Power of 1 contest. For the dads and moms who don’t know, parents can clip Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios, Hamburger Helper, and Kleenex. Turn them into your kid’s school and each Box Tops coupon is worth 10¢ for your kid’s school.
From now until December 1, 2009, the first 200,000 moms and dads to join the Box Tops for Education will earn 5 bonus Box Tops for their kid’s school. Five bonus Box Tops are only worth 50 cents, but they add up during the course of the school year. Dads and moms can earn even more points by emailing their friends and relatives to join the program. Look at how much some schools earned last year from the Box Tops for Education program:
To earn five bonus Box Tops for your school, join the Box Tops program today. Enter your zip code and them select a school to support (even though our school is new, it’s listed!). After you select the school you want to support, you’ll need to enter your info (name, email address, state, zip, birthday) and then select a password. After you sign up, you’ll get a Welcome to Box Tops for Education email. You’ll need to click on the Power of 1 graphics to earn five points for your school:
Your designated school will receive earnings from Bonus Box Tops awarded online, qualifying purchases from the Box Tops Marketplace (up to 15%), books purchased through the Box Tops Reading Room (up to 6%), and items purchased off your My Class Essentials registry (up to 2%).

I love box Tops! I have been collecting them for Teenager when he was in private school and now for Roo. At Teenager’s school we collected enough box tops to buy twenty laptops for the computer room. Very cool! For Roo’s school, our Box Tops totals have bought some new playground equipment.
(I have worked for the preschool for eleven years, so the Box Tops have really added up!)
If I have a choice between two products, I always buy the one with Box Tops on it.

I’m amazed at how much some schools can earn from clipping Box Tops. Our school doesn’t even remind parents to collect them.
every time my mom babysits my kids, i come home to find all my box tops ripped off. LOL!!! she’s so good about collecting them for my daughter’s school.

That’s better than finding a bunch of cans with all the labels gone. Luckily, most of our cans stuff were soup so kinda knew what they were.
I think this is a great program. We’ve been saving box tops since Julia was born!

We started when my niece lived with us. She’s five years older than our oldest child. Too bad I can’t collect Box Tops for my retirement account.
